[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to my old K/A toaster, this one is a lot slower to toast as well as it doesn’t toast completely end to end. I can see the end coils NOT glowing orange compared to the center and the old digital heat setting is preferred to the current slide setting. I give this toaster a 5/10 at best. I really wish I could have ordered an exact replacement to my old toaster that quit working recently. Sorry Kitchenaid, for this product, I expect better.

The atypical shape fits much better in our small kitchen than generic 2 slot toasters. The sides never get hot, and even long pieces of toast fit this slot.
The color is such a rich red (same as my KitchenAid stand mixer).
Highly recommend.
