FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Amazing design. Quiet with the use of the quiet shield cover. Powerful 1500 watt, 2 hp. Easy to clean using the “Clean” program. Blender jar with cutting blade assembly fits in the dishwasher. The Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender will be a permanent part of our counter as it fits underneath the cupboards, and is light weight. Excellent instruction booklet with helpful recipes. Well designed tamper. Four very useful programs- clean, puree, crush and smoothie. Pulse setting to effectuate complete mixing of ingredients. Variable speed settings.
TESTS:
ICE CRUSHER: Performs effortlessly and quietly and quickly. Important if you do not have a refrigerator with an ice maker that dispenses crushed ice. (We did not) Quiet, as my wife was napping in the next room in our small cottage, and she did not hear a thing.
SMOOTHIES: We tried a blueberry smoothie as we were staying at a cottage with blueberry bushes. Very quick to crush the ice. Simple recipe- fresh blueberries, ice, sugar, milk or ice cream. Delicious, quick and easy.
NUT BUTTER: We made peanut butter, almond butter and mixed nut butter. The tamper was helpful. We went on the wild side with the peanut butter by using roasted peanuts (roasted-not dry roasted), sea salt, fresh ground pepper and Saigon cinnamon. Refrigerate 8 hours after blending. You need a powerful blender to perform this recipe, and the Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender was expertly up to the task with no hesitation. Pulse settings to be used with variable speed setting. Highest speed setting still very quiet. Nut butters are delicious, healthy and nutritious with simple ingredients.
CLEANING: Use the program cycle for cleaning with 1 cup warm water, and 1 drop dishwasher soap. If you can clean peanut butter, you can clean anything. Very easy, no fuss clean!
COCKTAILS: We tried frosty, icy, refreshing pina coladas and blueberry margaritas. Ice was crushed easily. Quick and enjoyable!! Made our vacation very special!
RECOMMENDATION: The Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender is simple to use, powerful, well designed, easy to clean, safe, and attractive. This will stay on our kitchen counter for years to come. The five year warranty is an important feature. I have unconditionally recommended this product to my family and friends.

It’s much quieter than my previous blenders and though I’m sure all the parts were probably made in the same place as every other blender I’ve owned, this one just feels like it’s better quality. It’s easy to clean and so far, everything I’ve blended comes out smooth and silky.. I haven’t made an actual smoothie but the vegetables and fruit purees that I’ve made have been amazingly smooth. My only complain is that the actual blending vase is a bit small (only 4 cups) and I am used to cook in bigger batches… I will adapt. I highly recommend this blender!
