I debated long about buying this or the other very popular high end brand, but ultimately went with this as I trusted German engineering and design, and I’ve owned a couple of very good Braun hand mixers before. I got the full package with the To Go bottle to make smoothies. The blender itself is incredibly powerful (and incredibly loud) and I like the self clean feature. I deducted a star for the noise and I find the lid a bit tight and not easy to take off. What I really dislike though is the sealing ring that comes off from the To Go Bottle. I imagine they wanted you to be able to hygienically clean all the parts easily, however because of this design, if you somehow managed to unseat this ring as you screwed the lid on (which you do this upside down therefore it can fall off or shift out of place), you will end up blending the ring in your smoothie. This rubber ring got caught in the blade, the blade got stuck and made the engine emit a burning smell and eventually stop with an error message. And now the Braun parts website shows spare parts being out of stock. Great blender but I wish they made a removable sealing ring but designed it so it doesn’t come off so easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this blender everyday now. I’ve made baby food for our 9 month old in batches for the week, we make smoothies daily, we’ve made salsa about once a week, and I use it to chop veggies for most of my recipes. The settings are easy to use and it does exactly what it says. If you want it smooth or coarse it does it all and perfectly too. Your run time for getting something ready is average about 1 minute. It is very loud though! While it’s running my kids run around and close their ears but they also scream and laugh so they think it’s fun I guess?! The smoothies come out perfectly, and the salsa was also perfection. I’m a new baby food maker even though it’s my fifth baby so I think I did a good job. I kind of just winged it, I added the ingredients and the blender did it’s thing and the baby eats it up! I do like the self-clean setting. I still hand wash it a few times a week because I’m picky like that but I would say that it’s not necessary. I also pop it in the dishwasher a couple times a month since we use it regularly. All in all, I’d say it’s a wonderful product, definitely worth it, and it’s now a kitchen staple. Highly recommend this blender that does it all!

Best of the best! Nice quality and easy to use and has a button clean and you can use water and dish soap and it will wash your blender inside and after that you just wash it with water. I used it every day.
