KitchenAid’s KMT2115 2-Slice Toaster has chrome buttons that glow with blue back-light illumination when in use. The extra-wide slots will accept the thickest bagels, breads, or pastries and the extra-deep, steel toasting cavity ensures even browning. The racks automatically adjust the slot width for thick or thin slices, keeping food upright for even toasting. When your food is ready, the manual high lift lever makes it easy to get it out of the toaster. Selecting the bagel toasting function reduces the power on one side of the heating elements by 50% to produce a better toasted bagel. Plus, the adjustable 5-shade setting ensures your food will pop up just the way you like it.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I got it as a gift. I was very excited about the toaster as, I am already using KitchenAid appliances at home and know their performance. Crumb Tray is amazing feature for maintaining and Bagel switch is perfect for toasting a Bagel, I just had one, which toasts the Bagel to perfection. The only drawback about the appliance is the Manual Level which is compensated by the cancel button to pop up the slice. Also, the extra lift available with the Manual Lever is Helpful for smaller slices.

Wish we had read the reviews before purchasing. All the negative reviews are the same: BURNS TOAST ON LOW SETTINGS, ALSO UNEVEN TOASTING. We have the same problem, Quality control please, this is ongoing problem for quite some time. What are you doing Kitchen Aid? Why do you continue to ship this product? Don’t bother with your canned response. Thanks,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m somewhat disappointed with the toaster. It appears to be significantly overpowered. With a setting of 1, I get just very slightly browned, somewhat warm toast. With a setting of 2, the toast is right at the limit of being inedible. It’s right on the edge of being turned into croutons. I have yet to find anything that would allow me to use the 3, 4, and 5 settings.
It’s certainly well-made and attractive. The controls are repeatable and consistent which is what really matters to me. But I can only barely use two of the setting levels which is disappointing.
