This is a no-frills griddle that is easy to use. It is cool-touch but the entire exterior is not cool to the touch so be careful what areas you handle. The base does not seem to get terribly hot, and have used my kitchen counter top to operate it, but I do put a big ceramic trivet under it to be safe.
The cooking surface so far has proven to be truly non-stick and easy to wipe clean. The power pack is easy to remove for cleaning, don’t have to lift the griddle up or anything to get to it.I have not noted any uneven cooking.
Have only used it a half dozen times so cannot speak to durability, but not a lot to go wrong. In checking out reviews a lot of people complained about parts falling off, but the instructions repeat over and over to check the screws and tighten as needed. Again, no frills device, which I like. Bells and whistles on these things are wasted on me.
