[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach Air Fry Counter Top Oven is one amazing product. It is compact, well designed and easy to use. It does not generate much heat at all, which will be great during the summer months. Clean up is easy as well, since there are two different catch trays for drips and crumbs. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. The interior is a great family size.
Lumpia rolls were the first item that I tried out using the Air Fryer feature. The air fryer basket holds an amazing amount of rolls. They were cooked at 400 degrees for 20 minutes and came out crunchy on the outside, and moist and juicy on the inside. I was surprised at how well the air fryer made “fried food” without oil. The only difference between air frying and deep frying was no oily feel to the lumpia rolls, and they were a lighter brown color.
Next I made fried chicken drumsticks, something that has not been in my diet for a long time. The drumsticks were rolled in panko crumbs and placed on the air fryer basket. I used a setting of 25 minutes at 400 degrees. As you can see by the photo, the drumsticks were crispy on the outside, juicy and fully cooked on the inside.
I also prepared homemade rolled tacos in the air fryer, along with homemade zucchini rounds and potato rounds. They all were crispy, crunchy and decidedly tasty without oil of any kind. These were by far the healthiest fried foods I have had in ages.
The oven feature works just as nicely. I baked up a couple batches of biscuits and they came out to perfection. However, it is the air fryer feature that I think I will use the most. It has allowed me to again enjoy crispy fried foods without the guilt of eating fats and oils.
The interior of the oven stays quite clean and debris free, other than crumbs or drips. The catch trays clean easily. The exterior of the Air Fry Oven cools down quite quickly. This is a nice feature.
Overall, this is one terrific product. A couple suggestions to note when using the Air Fry Counter Top Oven. The electric cord is a bit on the short side, so placement of the oven might be tricky. And do keep a small flashlight handy to peek at your food inside. It was hard to see how brown food items were getting without the flashlight. Otherwise, you will find this a delightful addition to your kitchen and a great way to once again enjoyed fried foods — the healthy way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that you can cook so many things with one appliance and the large size lets you cook a lot. I have made French fries, chicken drumsticks, and potato wedges in the air fryer and baked a package of cookies with the convection oven. The potato items turned out the best I would say. I had to put a couple drumsticks back in due to not having cooked as much as the others. I think items with all the same thickness do best in air fryers. I had also coated them with Panko crumbs and since the fryer keeps running when you open the door to check on items, it blew crumbs around and created a bit of a mess. Some of this may be my fault as I am a novice with air fryers. I do think it would be nice if the fryer shut off when you opened the door and then resumed. Also a light inside would be extremely useful.
The directions that come with the unit are misleading. They say to put the rack in and then set the baking pan on that. There is no way that works. The pan is the same width and is really designed to slide in where the rack also slides.
The controls are easy to use and some might say old school, but I sometimes find old school much easier when cooking than using digital items and going through a bunch of confusing steps.
The oven is quite attractive. It is large but not too heavy so you can store it if you have a place and get it out if you don’t like it setting on your counter all the time. It heats up quickly and much better than using your big oven all the time. You will be able to cook a lot
in this oven. So far cleaning the pans has been easy also.
So overall the oven works and looks fine, but I do wish it had an interior light and shut off when checking on air fried items.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great, multifunctional appliance. It has several settings (Broil, Bake, Air Fry, Toast and Convection Bake), so it has a lot more capabilities than just an air fryer. With this unit, I will rarely have to use my oven. Plus, it is large enough to allow more food without having to cook items in batches. I made yeast rolls using the bake function and they came out perfectly. Fish sticks and sweet potato fries using the air fry function were crispy on the outside and cooked on the inside. Using the air fry basket also means that I didn’t have to shake or turn them halfway through cooking. I also cooked coconut shrimp and roasted veggies at the same time, with the shrimp finishing just a little before the veggies. Another nice feature of this unit is that it is very quiet. The outside does get warm but I operate it under my kitchen cabinets without any problems. Definitely a keeper on my kitchen counter.
