The Makita 36V (18-Volt X2) LXT Hot Water Kettle is a convenient way to boil water wherever the need comes from whether on the job site or enjoying the outdoors. The kettle can produce 27 oz. of hot water in just 9-minutes when powered by two 18-Volt LXT 5.0Ah batteries (sold separately). With a focus on safety, the kettle automatically shuts off when the water is boiled, it has a boil-dry feature that does not allow for operation when empty, and a sensor that prevents the kettle from operating when not on a stable surface. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.

I have the 6.0 battery’s the water boils fast just as fast as your boiling water on a stove if not faster it also depends on how much water your trying to boil the less the faster I never boiled more than twice the kettle size on the 6.0 battery’s I’d say you get around 2 or 3 boils from the battery thats fully charged I love it as an off grid guy it works awesome
