I originally wanted an Ex-calibur. After a month of waiting, I cancelled the order and alerted Pay Pal. Pay Pal denied my claim. I am still trying to get my money back. The Ivation Dehydrator has stainless trays as opposed to the plastic ones on excalibur. Food is done at minimal times and not the 10 – 12 hour drying times suggested by excalibur. Good air flow, no rotating trays to get uniform drying, and yes, unlike excalibur. 10 stainless steel tray Ivation, not 9 plastic tray excalibur. The glass door lets you check the progress of your food easily. I am glad to own the Ivation Stainless Steel Food Dehydrator

Do not buy this item if you are planning on actually using it. We had had it less than 2 years with very little use and it completely failed. Home Depot will not do anything because we did not buy the extended warranty ( I understand that) but the manufacturer was completely unwilling to back up their product. I guess it’s just a crapshoot if it’s going to work or not. Very poor support and zero confidence in their products. I would never buy ANYTHING from this company again.

This oversized machine is a waste of time, money, and electricity. There are no instructions as to how thick to cut fruit, how long to cook specific fruit, if you should combine fruits (since some dehydrate quicker than others). I cooked for 2 days and everything needed to be thrown out! SO TOUGH AND RUBBERY! Waste of time. Taking back for refund! Don’t waste your money!
