Overall pretty impressed with the Ninja professional Blender 1000. Recently moved in to a new apartment so I’ve spent the last few months trying out a bunch of appliances and It’s safe to say Ninja is my new favorite.
I was used to our vitamix blender at home but wanted something a bit more budget friendly. It has plenty of power and looks sleek on the countertop!
The lid has a secure lid lock thing that sounds like a good idea but it honestly makes opening it much more complicated than it needs to be.

I got this blender a few days ago. Used it 3 times. While making a berry and cream smoothie, I smelled burning plastic. That awful smell filled the whole house. When I poured the smoothie, it tasted like burnt plastic. During cleaning, the black plastic piece fell off the bottom. It’s a gear that is spun by the base. It looks like the metal bolt on the pitcher was just glued to this plastic piece and it spun so fast it got hot and melted the gear.
