I thought this would be a great popper since it is branded for the popcorn brand I always use. I have owned several stirring poppers of another brand and since they don’t last long I thought I would try this one. It is inferior and makes overly chewy popcorn. It should be light and fluffy like Orville popcorn always pops. I’m very disappointed that a product endorsed by Redenbacher doesn’t work well with his popcorn and a recommended oil. I’m not changing popcorn, but will definitely be tossing this popper. It’s unfortunate because it has some good features that other poppers don’t. It also has some bad features, such as the way the cord comes out of the bottom. It can get twisted easily and interfere with the popper sitting properly on the countertop. The stirrer attachment system is better than other poppers I have tried, but alas, it doesn’t make good popcorn.
