I ordered this waffle maker because I know this is a good brand because I have had a Waring Pro for years. The price is extremely higher than what I had paid years ago but I have had good service out of this brand. When I received this and tried it out the waffle maker is supposed to beep 6 times when it is heated up to the heat setting you have selected which it did. When your waffle is done it is suppose to beep 3 times but it did not only green ready light came on quietly and the only way I knew this is I was watching the lights. I would have burnt my waffle if I had not seen the green light come on. I called customer service and they sent me out another one and I returned this one. I received the 2nd one in just a few days, tried it out and the very same problem happened again. I called the Waring company to make sure that the instructions were correct about the 3 beeps when waffle is done and she said it was suppose to beep 3 times and she would send me out another one directly from the company that possibly Home Depot had received a bad batch. I received the 3rd one promptly and tried it out and sadly it also did not beep to let me know that the waffles were done only the green light came on silently and would have ruined my waffle if I had not been watching and waiting for 3 beeps to let me know it was ready. I hope the Waring company can fix the problem with the model #WW180X. Maybe in the future I will reorder at a later date to see if the problem has been corrected. These are very expensive more than they should be not to work correctly.
