[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using it for a while and we love it. It is easy-to-use and does well with our hard water. I just run vinegar through it about every other week and it keeps working well. Makes great coffee.

The look, size and removable water tank are great but overall, this coffee maker is a big disappointment. The carafe lid has a fixed plastic rim that goes around the glass. This prevents easily emptying the carafe without tipping it at an extreme angle. The steam rising from the carafe burns one’s hand. Although, the pot is rated at twelve cups, at around six or eight cups water spraying into the coffee ground basket causes the grounds to get around the filter and ending up in the coffee. We ended up placing a second filter over the ground coffee to prevent this from happening. The pot uses basket style filters which take more coffee to make the same strength brew as our Cuisinart machine did using Melita style filters.
When it comes time to replace this pot, will spend the extra money for a Braun or Cuisinart.
