Takes a long time to heat up and then while cooking the heating unit turns off for periods of time before resuming heat.
If you have 30 minutes to cook something you can do on an electric stove in 15 maybe you will like this pan.

The description does not match what it really is. It’s not an electric skillet but a wok. Huge difference. It’s electric and looks like a skillet but it doesn’t heat up enough to qualify. Very disappointed. The pamphlet that comes with it call it a “wok”.
