[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Straight out of the box this professional coffeemaker was so much lighter than it looked. The metal components were installed in the places where heat or wear and tear would make a difference(like the brew basket, hot plate and information/direction buttons). So often those buttons are a sticker that wear out. They are raised and so easy to operate whether you are setting the clock, brew time or boldness of coffee flavor. I liked the step down brew plate to keep the pot securely in place until you need it. As a safety feature, you can pause the brewing cycle if you want to pour a cup of coffee before the brewing is completed. Another well thought out feature is that if the brewing cycle is begun without the handled water reservoir it will stop brewing in 60 seconds. There is a pod water filter to keep the flavors true. The brewing basket swings out easily and uses a cone shaped paper filter. You can set the brewing strength from classic to robust. I prefer the middle flavor of bold as I use decaffeinated coffee most of the time. You can make 4 to 12 cups at a time and there is an included 2 Tbsp measuring scoop with suggestions to meet your unique flavor profile. The coffee can be kept warm from 10 minutes to 4 hours at low, medium or high. If you don’t choose a time it automatically sets for 2 hours. The coffeemaker tells you the time since the coffee was brewed. The coffee comes out smooth and that flavor is not altered through continued warming. It is easy to disassemble and clean. I am really impressed with the easy of use and the great coffee taste.

I’ve been an avid coffee drinker for years, and this machine by far is the best I’ve owned! I enjoy being able to customize my coffee with the four brewing strengths. I favor a more bold robust coffee, and I get a consistent flavor each brew! The basket holder release button, as well as the hinge on the swing-out filter basket helps secure the solid build machine back in place! Also, the easy to remove water reservoir makes filling the tank simple. This has helped my aging hands make less of a mess. I no longer have to pour the water, I easily fill the tank under the faucet and place the chamber on the machine. The auto brew programming option has saved me time as well in my morning routine! I love waking up to the scent of my coffee, and pouring my coffee from the no drip carafe. The Hamilton Beach Professional Programmable Coffee Maker has enhanced my coffee routine!
