[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cooking has always been a passion of mine, whether it’s preparing a quick meal or a making it an all day process. For years I’ve enjoyed using different methods of cooking and have always had a slow cooker on hand. I’ve mostly used a 6 quart cooker, but have recently found new recipes that require a larger capacity one.
Hamilton Beach graciously offered me a 10 quart slow cooker to try out and it’s awesome! I didn’t even realize slow cookers were made this big. I decided to try out one of my new recipes that calls for a whole shank portion of a ham. It fit perfectly and I have to admit that I’ve never had such a tender ham that completely fell off the bone. The flavor was perfect as the ham cooks within all of its own juices along with whatever you choose to add to it. This slow cooker seems pretty powerful. I noticed that within the first hour of cooking the ham on high, it had already started a minimal boil. Most people like to use their slow cookers when they’re at work so I would recommend setting this one on low or warm if you plan on being gone most of the day so it won’t over cook. It’s nice that this cooker has the 3 settings of warm, low and high. I actually prefer to be home when using a slow cooker so I can peek at it and smell the food cooking throughout the day. I chose to cook the ham on the warm setting for about 5 more hours and it was thoroughly cooked.
This slow cooker is quite attractive with the outer casing being a brushed, stainless steel and a black inner basin that’s super easy to clean. Just remove the basin inside and wash it by hand or put it in the dishwasher. It’s a bit heavier than the one I’ve used in the past because it’s bigger, so those who may have arthritis, be mindful of this when taking it out to clean it. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this product and look forward to trying out all the new larger meal recipes that I’ve been acquiring.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I aquired a 10 quart Hamilton Beach slow cooker to be able to prepare stews and dips to serve my guests during the holidays. Then I used it to make my husbands favorite meal Beef Pot Roast which needs to be watched over to make sure that it come out moist and tender which usually would take me about 7-8 hours on the stove (an all day mission) but I put all my ingredients in this amazing slow cooker with the required water I set it and went off to work and when I got home about 5 hours later the aroma from this meal was amazing it was cooked to profection very tender juicy and full of flavor. This here is a game changer I will be making better and healthier meals to serve my family for now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the size of this crock pot. I put in 6 smaller pork roasts equalling about 13 pounds for pulled pork. It cooked wonderfully! It cooked even throughout the whole crock pot even at suck a large size. Definitely recommend for cooking larger roasts or quantities. I’m going to try making bone broth next. Love this crock pot.
