I bought the 9-Tray back in 2006, and use it all the time. I have made breads, crackers, bagels, tamales, crisps and cobblers, cinnamon rolls, dried fruit, flowers and herbs- you name it. The Excalibur really does produce quality results, and is worth the price. The fan provides even air flow all the way around. All the racks are easy to clean and adjust to your needs. Fun to use and highly recommend it!

I have only had the Excalibur dehydrator for a couple of weeks. I used it one time and had moderate success with dehydrating apples, bananas, string beans, chick peas, and kale. I lightly seasoned the vegetables and used a tiny amount of olive oil with them. I may slightly shorten the time with the them. I sliced the fruit thinly and did not add anything. Overall, my experiments were successful- the goal being to create healthy snacks.

The dehydrator works really, really well. Unfortunately it looks like during shipping it may have been knocked around a little bit. One of the side panels is a little loose and looks like it came a little unglued and it buzzes while dehydrating. Not enough for me to return it, but slightly annoying.
