I’ve owned a HarvestRight XL for 6 months now and I love it. It was well worth the extra money to double the capacity of the Large version. Candy has been a hit with friends and family, but my favorite has to be freeze dried watermelon. It’s comforting to know that I can make my own food storage as well. I haven’t had a single issue so far and hope to buy a second one soon.

I bought 8 XL’s to get started and had issues with two of my machines. They are both up and running now, but the process to determine the issues took a couple of weeks. Harvest Right has developed an SLA (Service Level Agreement) that offers, for a price, dedicated service and techincal support. If you’re going to be doing more than just making items for yourself or just getting an oven to make candy for events, I strongly urge you to get the SLA.

we bought a harvest right large model and after a week of use at home, we bought the XL model as well. these freeze dryers are amazing and do an excellent job of preserving food. we freeze dry regular casserole dishes and they taste just as good as when they came out of the oven. we did the candies of course and freeze dried ice cream and cheese cake are absolutely PHENOMINAL! cant recommend the harvest right freeze dryers enough
